FOLLOW IN THEIR FOOTSTEPS ….
For many, it’s the dream job and there are quite a few fans amongst us who will be delighted to guide fellow Time Travellers to and around the locations which Jamie and Claire have immortalised. We can visit several sites in Central Scotland during a whistle-stop day tour or take a more leisurely approach over a number of days, enjoying both the series’ locations and their wider surroundings.
We will plan a tour to visit your highlights in accordance with your time and any destinations you have in mind.
For example we can visit Culross Palace hosting Cranesmuir and Claire’s herb garden at Castle Leoch; Jamie’s print shop just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh city; Blackness Castle where Black Jack Randall set up his Fort William headquarters and imprisoned Jamie.
We can venture slightly further to Doune Castle, near Stirling, as Castle Leoch or Drummond Gardens at Muthill in Perthshire which doubled as the park and orchard of the Palace of Versailles. Closer to Edinburgh, why not visit Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, which featured as Wentworth prison? You are spoiled for choice and there are many more.
