OPTION 1

Voyages of ‘Discovery’ and Museum worship

EDINBURGH or GLASGOW – DUNDEE QUAYSIDE V&A – WALKING TOUR / DISCOVERY / MCMANUS ART GALLERY

We’ll leave Edinburgh or Glasgow to reach Dundee mid-morning and enjoy refreshments and a tour around the museum space. You can grab lunch there or at one of the eateries close by. In the afternoon it’s your choice – stay at the Quayside and explore Scott’s ship, ‘The Discovery’ and visit the Antarctic museum or take a walking tour around Dundee swinging by the McManus Art Gallery.

OPTION 2

Jute, Jam, Journalism & Golf

EDINBURGH or GLASGOW – DUNDEE – ST. ANDREWS

As Option 1, we’ll leave Edinburgh or Glasgow to reach Dundee mid-morning and enjoy refreshments and a tour around the museum space. We’ll then head over to St. Andrews and enjoy a late lunch at a fish and chip restaurant and then walk it off with a tour around the town starting at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, taking photos of the Old Course before discovering what else St. Andrews has to offer.

OPTION 3

Golf and Coastal Vistas

EDINBURGH or GLASGOW – ST. ANDREWS – FIFE COASTAL VILLAGES

We’ll head straight to St. Andrews and enjoy an interesting walking tour of the town taking in the golf courses, the University, the Cafe where Prince William met Kate Middleton, before enjoying a delicious fish and chip lunch at a local restaurant (and maybe even an ice-cream at the world-renowned Gelateria!). In the afternoon we’ll tour around the coastal villages of St. Monans, Crail and Pittenweem. If you’re interested we could visit the Fisheries Museum in Anstruther or just take a relaxing walk along the beach at Elie.

OPTION 4

Sculpture Garden & the Dan Brown’s Mysteries

EDINBURGH – JUPITER ARTLAND – ROSSLYN CHAPEL

After breakfast, we’ll head to Jupiter Artland, an award-winning contemporary sculpture garden located 12 miles from Edinburgh. You can enjoy a few hours strolling around the beautiful gardens and discovering the sculptures. After lunch we’ll head to the 15th Century Rosslyn Chapel made world-famous after featuring at the centre of Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’. You can see where the Tom Hank’s film was shot, take memorable photos as well as having a guided tour of the chapel and its incredible history.

OPTION 5

Arts and Craft

EDINBURGH – NATIONAL GALLERY OF SCOTLAND AND DOVECOT STUDIOS

From your hotel we can walk to the Scottish National Gallery situated in the heart of Edinburgh and home to one of the best collections of fine art in the world. We can spend the morning exploring the exhibitions and then head to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery where we can not only enjoy its offerings of over 1400 portraits on display,  but also admire its red sandstone architecture and amazing decorative features … and best still… before all of this, we can enjoy a nutritious and reasonably-priced lunch at the cafeteria.

OR

We could walk to The Dovecot Studios, a landmark centre for contemporary art, craft and design with equally good eating facilities.
